The following position is available with the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education.
LEADERSHIP & PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR
Professional Development Division
Coordinate Oklahoma’s education innovation and continues improvement initiatives such as (Southern Region Education Board) High Schools that Work, Technology Centers That Work and Teacher Development Programs and grant administration. Provide technical assistance and develop professional development opportunities for the CareerTech System.
Requires a bachelor’s degree (Master’s Degree preferred). Five years teaching experience and teaching certificate and administrator experience preferred. CareerTech teaching experience and knowledge preferred. Familiarity with SREB and other continuous improvement models preferred. Experience in organizing, developing, delivering, and facilitating professional development opportunities.
Position based in Stillwater, OK. Regularly prepares workshop and conference materials. Frequent travel in state, occasional overnight and out of state travel required.
Duties/Essential Functions:
- Represent the agency professionally at the annual SREB-HSTW and TCTW board meetings, and other in-state and out of state continuous improvement meeting
- Monitor the approval of HSTW and TCTW innovation grants and expenditures.
- Provide data on HSTW and TCTW sites and implement goals and continuous improvement strategies.
- Coordinate monitoring visits as it relates to HSTW and TCTW sites.
- Provide leadership and disseminate information to stakeholders and customers, supporting and encouraging continuous improvement.
- Coordinate, develop, facilitate, and deliver statewide virtual and in person professional development opportunities throughout the Careertech System.
- Manage and support teacher development programs and initiatives for the CareerTech system including the use of information management and learning management systems.
- Develop and expand relationships with all CareerTech stakeholders involving professional development.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to assist with leadership and professional development activities in addition to contributing team member.
Salary/Benefits: $51,985.95 - $58,421.34 commensurate with education or experience. Total salary and benefits package valued at $64,192.17 - $71,111.95.
