This role provides administrative support for the site. In addition to data entry, filing and scheduling, performs duties such as coordination of meetings/events/activities, obtaining supplies, coordinating mailings, and working on special projects. Works with a diverse group of internal and external contacts at all levels of the organization. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize a diversified workload. This role reports to the environmental, health and safety manager and works in cooperation with other plant leaders.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support involving all plant groups

  • Handle office tasks, such as filing, scanning, generating reports and presentations, and reordering supplies

  • Use computer to establish, develop, maintain, and update records and databases associated primarily with Environmental, Health and Safety and Operations/Production

  • Schedule and organize meetings, activities, special events, and travel

  • Manage Safety Shoe, Prescription Safety Glass and FRC (Fire Retardant Clothing) programs

  • Work independently and within a team on special and ongoing initiatives

  • Serve as backup for payroll, quality database, procedures system, and operations-related recordkeeping

  • Handle confidential and non-routine information and explain policies when necessary

  • Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail e.g., certified mail, FedEx, etc.

  • Anticipate the needs of others in order to ensure their seamless and positive experience

  • Other duties as interested or assigned

In this role, you will combine knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance systems with knowledge of the Expandable Polystyrene process to develop strategies for complying with new and existing environmental regulations in the air, water and waste medias. You will use knowledge of environmental regulations to evaluate plant projects, process changes, and assist other engineers in defining compliance requirements for processes and equipment. Day to day activity will find you managing multiple projects, reporting, troubleshooting and solving issues. You will participate on cross functional teams to build valuable working relationships with internal and external customers and provides you general plant-wide exposure. You will use your environmental technical knowledge base and position as a resource for the organization on multimedia compliance programs, providing regulatory expertise to the whole. The role is best defined as a role with diverse and challenging opportunities in the field, regulatory compliance and environmental stewardship.

The role will include field sampling, on-call support, and preparing reports, samples, waste for shipment, and calculations for emissions.

Both roles are full-time with competitive benefits and every other Friday off.
